Guest Speakers
Kenan ef. Musić is Head of the Department of Hadith and Prophetic Tradition at the University of Sarajevo. A graduate of Al-Azhar and Damascus universities, he holds ijazahs in Qur’an, tafsir, hadith, and fiqh. He founded the Qur’an and Sunnah Centre in Sarajevo and is a leading Islamic scholar across Bosnia and the wider Muslim world.
Sheikh Alaa Elsayed, born in Cairo and now based in Toronto, is a respected Islamic scholar and former Egypt Junior National Team goalie. A triathlete and former business executive, he holds an ijazah in Qur’an recitation and a Shariah degree, with additional studies in comparative religion.
Al-Mu’tasim Billah Al-Assali is a renowned Qur’an reciter and nasheed artist from the historic Al-Midan district of Damascus. Raised in a family devoted to Qur’anic recitation and meaningful nasheed, he was trained under his father, Muhammad Aref Al-Assali.
Hazaa bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Balushi, born in Liwa, is a renowned Qur’an reciter who memorised the Holy Qur’an by age 14. A graduate of Sultan Qaboos University, he later refined his recitation in Makkah and Madinah, gaining global recognition for his soulful voice.
