Footsteps of the Faithful

Footsteps of the Faithful is Unity Grammar’s immersive Umrah journey. Last year select learners embarked on a transformative experience across Spain, Medina, and Makkah, exploring the rich spiritual and intellectual legacy of Islamic civilisation. In Toledo, learners discovered the city once known as the “City of Three Cultures,” where Muslim scholars preserved and translated ancient knowledge, helping illuminate the path to Europe’s Renaissance. In Córdoba, they stood in awe of a city that once shone as a global beacon of learning and culture, while in Seville they walked through the remnants of Al-Andalus’ golden age, where beauty, intellect, and innovation flourished. The breathtaking Alhambra in Granada offered a powerful reminder of the artistry, devotion, and splendour of Muslim civilisation. In Medina, hearts were softened as learners prayed in the blessed city of the Prophet ﷺ, a place of love, unity, and peace. The journey concluded in Makkah, where learners performed Umrah and stood before the Ka‘bah in humility and gratitude. Stay tuned to discover which footsteps we will trace in 2026.
