Unity Grammar launches Quran School to nurture a new generation of Quran learners
Unity Grammar is pleased to announce the launch of Unity Grammar Quran School in 2027, marking an important new chapter in the School’s commitment to purposeful, high-quality Islamic education.
Quran memorisation. A complete education. One school.
The Quran School will offer learners a structured, high-expectation Quran memorisation pathway within their complete Unity Grammar education.
Learners will receive dedicated Quran instruction, personalised memorisation goals and close progress support while continuing their core academic learning, sport, excursions, school events and wider school experience.
The integrated model will allow learners to memorise the Quran without stepping away from school.
Head of Islamic Faith, Ali Assaad, said the initiative reflects Unity Grammar’s belief that faith and learning should remain deeply connected.
“At Unity Grammar, Islam is a way of life,” Mr Assaad said.
“Throughout Islamic history, our scholars began their journey of learning with the memorisation of the Book of Allah. Our aspiration is to give learners the opportunity to begin that journey while continuing a complete school education.”
The launch follows several years of foundational work to strengthen Quran literacy across Unity Grammar. With this broader learning system now established, the School is ready to introduce a more intensive memorisation pathway for learners who demonstrate the required readiness and commitment.
The program will operate before the formal school day, allowing learners to undertake focused Quran study while remaining fully involved in their academic learning and wider school experience.
For learners beginning the complete pathway in Year 3, the School’s aspiration is to support them towards memorising the Quran by the end of Year 6. This is an ambitious goal rather than a guaranteed outcome.
Individual goals will reflect each learner’s year of entry, starting point and capacity.
Progress will be closely monitored, with families involved throughout the journey. Personalised goals and regular reviews will create a clear and accountable partnership between learners, families and educators.
Entry into Unity Grammar Quran School will include a family consultation and learner assessment. This will help determine each learner’s readiness and ensure they enter the program with the foundations and support required to benefit from its pace and expectations.
Current Unity Grammar families with children in Years 2–5 are invited to express interest for learners entering Years 3–6 in 2027
Places are limited, and submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee admission.
