From 2027, Unity Grammar is introducing a structured Quran memorisation pathway for Junior School learners. Each school day begins with the Book of Allah and continues into strong, purposeful learning.
Expressions of Interest are now open for eligible learners entering Years 3–6 in 2027.
The Program
The Unity Grammar Quran School is designed to make Hifz of the Quran achievable without asking families to choose between memorising the Quran and a strong, well-rounded education. Learners begin the day with Quran in a focused, structured environment, then continue into their mainstream Unity Grammar learning.
Our Quran School is built on accuracy, revision, tajwīd, adab and a lifelong love for the Book of Allah. It is an ambitious pathway for learners and families who are ready to commit to consistent attendance, home revision and high expectations.
At Unity Grammar, Islam is a way of life. Throughout Islamic history, scholars began their journey of learning with memorisation of the Book of Allah. Our Quran School brings that tradition into a contemporary school environment where faith, character and academic learning grow together.
Junior School | Year 3 to 6
Learners entering Years 3–6 may express interest in the Quran School. Learners must already be able to read the Quran at the required standard and will complete a readiness assessment before being offered a place. The assessment considers Quran reading, memorisation readiness and the literacy and numeracy foundations needed to sustain the program.
The pathway is tailored to each learner’s starting point. For learners entering in Year 3 with Juz ʿAmma memorised and the required reading fluency, the program aims to support completion of Hifz by the end of Year 6. Learners entering in later years will receive an individual target based on their starting point, readiness and time in the program.
Learners who do not yet meet the reading benchmark may be directed to a bridging pathway to strengthen Quran fluency, tajwīd and readiness before entering the full memorisation program

How It Works
The Quran School is built around one clear principle: begin with Quran, then continue into learning.
Morning Quran School
7:00–9:30am | Monday to Friday
Learners begin the day with a focused Quran memorisation block in small groups. This time includes new memorisation, individual listening, revision, correction and tajwīd.
A typical morning includes:
- Arrival and preparation: Learners arrive before 7:00am, ready and settled to begin with the right intention.
- New memorisation: Each learner works on their daily portion, with their educator guiding accuracy and tajwīd.
- Individual listening and revision: The educator listens to each learner, corrects gently and checks that earlier memorisation is secure.
- Progress monitoring: Memorisation, revision and individual targets are monitored so support can be provided early and goals can be adjusted when needed.
Mainstream School Learning
Following Quran class, learners continue through the standard Unity Grammar timetable. Quran School learners remain fully enrolled Unity Grammar learners and continue to participate in academic subjects, sport, excursions, major events and the wider life of the school.
Learners complete their mainstream learning in composite Stage 2 or Stage 3 classes, while continuing to wear the Unity Grammar uniform and meet the same learning expectations as other Junior School learners.

Learners who enter later will receive tailored targets. Progress depends on readiness, attendance, revision, tajwīd, home support and each learner’s capacity.
The Quran School is designed to integrate Quran memorisation with a complete Unity Grammar education. The dedicated Hifz block runs from 7:00–8:30am. Learners then continue through the standard timetable and participate in academic subjects, sport, excursions, major events and the wider life of the school.
Learners will complete mainstream learning in composite Stage 2 or Stage 3 classes. They remain fully enrolled Unity Grammar learners, wear the school uniform and meet the same academic expectations as other Junior School learners.

Short, consistent daily revision at home is essential. Families must support punctual arrival for the 7:00am start, healthy sleep routines, daily revision and a calm home environment that protects the learner’s memorisation goals.
The small-group structure allows educators to identify concerns early. The Quran School team will work with the family to review progress, adjust goals where appropriate and agree on the support needed at school and at home.
A learner who does not yet meet the Quran reading benchmark may be directed to a bridging pathway before entering the full memorisation program. Completing a bridging pathway does not automatically guarantee entry; readiness will be reviewed again.
Families first submit an Expression of Interest. The Quran School team will then arrange a consultation and readiness assessment. Families proceed to Unity Grammar’s standard enrolment process only after the learner and family have been assessed as suitable for the program.
Quran School fees are $500 per term in addition to standard Unity Grammar tuition and applicable school fees.

Completion is a beautiful milestone, but it is not the end. Learners continue into Itqān and consolidation, with a focus on accuracy, secure retention and a lifelong relationship with the Quran.
